A little gem for us to venture out of Essex, the surrounding areas and the village is beautiful. Lovely to have a campfire.June 2021 have just got back from cycling around Suffolk and Norfolk and used Klabang as our base. It’s a no thrills amenities campsite with beautiful surroundings. We book out of busy periods and it’s like wild camping. We love it here. Perfect for families and the kids to run around. Can’t wait to come back… again.Update: we’ve just got back from a night meeting up with climbing friends. The site is superb and Richard as accommodating as ever.

****IF YOU LIKE BEING AT ONE WITH NATURE AND LOVE CAMPING THIS IS THE CAMP FOR YOU****I camped here from 14th October and absolutely loved it, its an absolutely beautiful camp site and I loved having a roaring fire every night. Richard was really friendly and helpful when I spoke to him on the phone, the toilets were very clean and worked perfectly, the showers did too, had lovely walks through the woods to the outstanding pub 'The Kings Head' with amazing real ales and food. I will be going back again and again and again......what's not to like? I loved everything about it😊👍

Really lovely location, plenty of camping space but facilities let it down, which is a shame. The showers have definitely seem better days I’m afraid and the washing up area is a bit too basic and 50% of the time had no hot water. There were brand new toilets which was good, all wood built (a positive), but the doors were already getting tricky to open/close so not sure how long they’ll last. The stinking bins pushed up against the side of the toilets not pleasant either. I know this sounds moany but if a bit of time and the inevitable money was spent on that area it really would be an amazing site.

Lovely, quiet camping in the orchard. Short, pleasant walk to the village with its cosy pubs. Clean toilets. Superb!

Spent 2 nights in our camper at this gorgeous little site. Perfect for those who just want to camp and enjoy nature and don’t want all the noise and ‘extras’ that come with so many campsites these days.Open fires are allowed, there’s a brand new basic toilet block (and a new shower block is on its way), there’s plenty of room between pitches and a number of different small fields to choose from. And all within walking distance of 2 pubs! And Richard is a fabulous host. What’s not to love? We’ll be back.

Perfect peaceful camping. This was our 3rd visit and we just love it so much. Richard the owner is friendly and amenable, the facilities are basic but clean and you get loads of space to yourself. We cook on the fire, walk to the pub and just sit about enjoying the butterflies by day, rabbits and owls at night. Love it!

Lovely journey there, lovely little village with a great little shop and pubs. One of which is run by volunteers. The campsite itself offers privacy that most other capsites don't And you're allowed a fire too! It's very rural so don't expect all mod cons. Next to the campsite is a lovely woodland walk through to the village. Then the ride home is lovely too. With good company it's a nice piece of outdoors.
